L. E. Smith Glass Cobalt Blue Carnival Feather Pattern Bowl
This is a stunning piece by the L.E. Smith Glass Company. Its cobalt blue color, along with its iridescence, is beautiful. This glass bowl, in a basket shape, is the Feather pattern. It has scalloped edges, a hobnail bottom, and an applied handle. This bowl, while not marked (at least I couldn’t find one) is attributed to L. E. Smith Glass. From the research I have done, it is possible that this was a specially commissioned piece done in the 1980’s with a limited number of them produced. However, I am not sure about that. This bowl is large and heavy. It’s a little over 11 inches in height, 13 ¼ inches long, and about 8 inches wide. It weighs 5 pounds.
Condition is used. It is in excellent condition. There are a few light scratch marks here and there, and mostly on the bottom, but there are no chips or cracks.
