Victorian Double Strike Doorbell And Lever

This is a very ornate double action lever type brass doorbell in great original condition. The bell has all the best features of a
lever actuated bell including a spring mounted hammer that will not get out of adjustment, a double strike mechanism that rings once as the lever is pulled and again as it is released, a provision to use a bell pull from either the top or back of the bell and a center mounting lever. The double action does result in a slightly heavier pull.  The bell should fit a door up to 2" thick.
The 4 1/2" diameter brass bell has a highly polished finish. The lever is made of brass with a similar finish and measures about 3" by 4 1/2'.
There are no markings on the bell but it is probably from the late 1870's.
