UNIQUE,RARE HAND CRAFTED ANATOMIC RAINBOW OBSIDIAN HEART, MEXICO

This is a RARE and VERY SPECIAL, magnificent, one of a kind, hand sculpted anatomic heart carving constructed from fine quality rainbow obsidian. The talented artisans who create these phenomenal works of art , are two brothers, who to the best of my knowledge, are the only two people in the world making them ! Consequent to this,and material availability( see below), the number of these spectacular works of art  is very limited.
The rainbow obsidian is mined in Tequila,Jalisco, Northwest Mexico.The high grade quality material used for these carvings is quite rare. Only 330 -550 lbs out of every 200,000 pounds ,that is 0.25% of the mined obsidian is deemed suitable for use by the artisans ! To cut and prepare each heart requires 8 steps and 12 hours of meticulous labor and preparation!
It is very difficult to photograph the specimen because of its ' very fine polish. Specifically, all of the photos have a glare. THE SPECIMEN IS MUCH NICER IN REAL LIFE !!!

Obsidian is a beautiful , shiny black stone that forms from the rapid cooling of lava. It is a form of volcanic glass with hardness 5 -6 on Moh's Scale.The rainbows that you see are the result of an impurity within the obsidian, specifically magnetite nanoparticles.
Metaphysically,this is a highly protective calming and soothing stone that reduces stress,tension and shields one from negative energy. It is purported to be good for the vascular system, skeleton and smooth skin.
