    Description

This is a stunning autumn carnival glass round butter dish with a domed lid.
The glass is a clear yellow and the heavy marigold carnival finish gives the glass a dazzling color that goes from more orange-red to a golden amber. The rainbow effect of colors just adds to the brilliance.
The lovely pattern is called Maple Leaf. (Pattern was originally made by Northwood in the early 1900s.) It has a raised relief across the glass that gives it a similar appearance to crackle glass. Large Maple Leafs stand out against this background. Just gorgeous.
This is an extremely ornate pattern with a twisted glass finial knob on the cover and 1" deep well for butter.
Stands appx 7-1/2" tall with the cover on and is 7-1/2" across.  With the extra deep well, it is perfect for cheese, candy and pastry.
    New and in mint condition.
An excellent example of hand made pressed glass.
Made by Mosser Glass of Cambridge Ohio.
What a wonderful addition for your collection, a joy to use and the perfect gift.
