PUCCI PURPLE AMETHYST Here we have another outstanding sculpture by Susana Adalid from Madrid, Spain. This is from the collection of "The Pucci Era Collection" titled "Pucci Purple Amethyst. A limited edition of a series of 12 with a total a 5 in each series. Marilyn Monroe started her fascination with a particular designer at the start of the 1960's. This designer was Emilio Pucci and it consists of dresses, blouses, skirts and even a handback. She's was even laid to rest in a foam green dress by Pucci which she wore to Mexico City in February 1962. Being so fascinated with this era, Susana Adalid has created a series of 12 sculptures with a limited edition of 5 in each series. Each one represent an outfit that Marilyn Monroe was photographed or had in her personal wardrobe. This inspiration comes from the Christie's Auction 1999, where most of her Emilio Pucci personal wardrobe was auctioned off. This is the 6th in the series of 12 titled "Pucci Purple Amethyst" wearing most likely a pair of JAX pants also, another of her favorite designer and a colorful printed pattern purple blouse by Pucci. Marilyn Monroe was photographed by Willi Rizzo toward the end of her life wearing this blouse. Also, there is bedroom pictures of the day Marilyn Monroe passed away and the blouse can be seen on top of her hamper most likely one of the last things she wore. This blouse is one of the numerous pieces in the collection of Peter Gonzalez who's been a collector and very knowledgeable of Marilyn Monroe personal items for nearly 45 years. This impressive lifelike measures 17" and made of solid material, light weight and resistance. Painted with the finest acrylic paint and she's holding sunglasses and a pink scarf and of course she wears her favorite stilettos by Ferragamo.
