Maimouna Guerresi sculpture

Description

This is a lovely piece by the Italian artist Maimouna (Patrizia) Guerresi in plaster and resin. It depicts the lower part of a woman's face, a hand and a bird. Intricate detail on the woman's lips and hand. It dates from the artist's earlier period when she worked with sculpture and art installations prior to her success in photography. Year and artist's signature at the back. Length 17.32 in (44 cm) / heigth 8.26 in (21 cm).
