    This is an original Beswick England Royal Doulton Gryphon figurine from the Lewis Carroll story, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.   The Gryphon is an overbearing character that dismisses others' feelings.  It is the Gryphon who is ordered by the Queen to take Alice to meet Mock Turtle.
    This figurine is in excellent condition with no chips and no cracks.  He sits about 3 1/2 inches tall.
