About this product:
Do not use if you have Koi or Goldfish. Algae Defense is a fast-acting algaecide and works on a broad spectrum of algae. For best results, begin applications early in the spring when water and temperature reaches 60° F and above on growing algae. Early applications will reduce the amount of Algae Defense needed and reduce the amount of excess nutrients caused by dead algae. Unless steps are taken to reduce the overall nutrients in your pond, multiple applications may be needed for a full season of control. Mix in a tank sprayer. Spray algae directly. Treat only up to half of the pond’s surface, waiting 10 to 14 days before treating the second half. In hot weather or when fish are stressed, treat 1/4 to 1/3 of the pond at a time. For deeper water place the sprayer’s tip beneath the water’s surface. Dosage Rate: 2,000 square feet: 1 quart Algae Defense, 2.5 gallons water 4,000 square feet: 2 quarts Algae Defense, 5 gallons water 8,000 square feet: 1 gallon Algae Defense, 10 gallons water Restrictions: Algae Defense may be toxic to Trout if carbonate hardness of treated water is less than 50 ppm. Most surface waters exceed this limit and pose no threat. If in doubt, use the Water Hardness Test Kit. RETURNS
Products may be returned within 30 days of purchase. All returned items must be clean, in original packaging with instructions and all components. Electrical units must be unaltered and in working condition. Please follow the steps below:
1. Request a return merchandise authorization (RMA) -
Failure to request your RMA number may result in delay or dismissal of your return.
2. Package your return items - Pack your return items in a box with packaging material that will sufficiently protect the item and its original packaging. If you do not have these materials available, you can take your package to a UPS or FedEx Kinkos store and have them pack it for you.
3. Indicate your RMA number on the outside of your package - Write the RMA number on the outside of your return box so that it can be routed properly at our warehouse.
4. Ship your return - You can ship your package back via UPS, FedEx or USPS. Be sure to request a tracking number to ensure package delivery.
5. Return Processing - Please allow 3-5 business days for processing. You will receive refund after your return has been inspected and verified.
