    Description

    This is a 1911 postcard with a picture captioned "U. S. Life Saving Station, Fort Canby."  The Life Saving Stations were the beginning of the U. S. Coast Guard.  This is a fine picture and has Bakers Bay, Ford Photo and some numbers on the picture of the picture.  It was mailed on September 7, 1911 from Longbeach, Washington to Portland, Oregon and is in very nice condition.
